![]() ![]() You can tell by their minis that they are really buff but they don't bulk out the same way a Black Orc or Big'Un do. The chaos chosen positionals are not overly large but they are absolute units in the game. The official BB minis do this pretty well! For Str to mini size scaling, I just try to go with what is in-character. ![]() I like my Big Guys to fill up the 32mm base, but not spill over. They can free stand on the base, but then they are knocking over or impacting other pieces on the board. I tried to use the FW Bull Centaurs, but they are simply too massive for a 32mm base. A lot of time I also load up a 32mm base to eyeball how tall/bulky the model will be on the base. This isn't great for 2 reasons: 1) you get a lot of parallax if you don't compare from many different angles and 3) if you scale down a lot its hard to see how that will affect your print without spending a significant amount of time on supports. My (very imperfect) way of judging scale is loading up a model who's scale I like in the slicer software and comparing it. There's a couple of 3d models out there, like Sir Scalesby on Thingiverse, to help with scale. I still might whack them on ebay at some point after I've completed them out with a Francilla troll and goblin but we'll see how the India trip fund's looking before that decision's made.We Are Bloodbowl! The Night Goblins, the Orcs, The Elves! We BRING THE PAIN! Be it Electronic or Table-tonic! The original intention was to sell these guys after a few quick conversions from the plastic sets but I got a bit carried away. I've given him bloodshot eyes too but it's difficult to make out in the photos. My personal favourite part is Dedman's sculpted pointing finger as he holds a pansy elf's head by his golden locks - 'You're next'. I wouldn't call them completely done as they still need a couple of touch ups and varnishing but they're pretty much there. The figures themselves are all plastic and putty made from the 40K ork boyz set plus a handful of extras (Nob shoulder pads and the occasional fantasy orc piece). rugby's where it's at anyhow, doesn't serve to spend too much time thinking about this 'football' buisness. To all the hardcore patriot fans out there please accept my apologies for the general lack of knowledge regarding player numbering/naming. I'm actually still in Ecuador and only have a couple of pictures uploaded, but here are arguably the stars of the team, the blitzers: Just thought I'd share pictures of a project that's been on and off for the past year or so - Da Nu' Badland 'Atetriots. Hope you like, comments and/or criticism welcomed as ever. Other than that they're all conversions using the various plastic games workshop kits and a reasonable amount of modelling putty (more information on the blitzers below in my original post). ![]() In some cases, it was as simple as updating their team and player profiles to match the new format, and in other cases they’ve been fully rebalanced and adjusted. The goblin is has had a fair amount of modelling done to him so he's quite unrecognisable from the mini I used as a base - anyone that guesses right will get 'mad props' or somethin'. The 136-page Blood Bowl: The Official Rules book includes a comprehensive update that brings all the teams and Star Players together from the last edition under the current ruleset. The wappy eyes are entirely purposeful, the fluff being they've only just convinced the nutter to wear shoulder pads and a shirt, trousers are the next step. That goblin's a real pain in the proverbial to photograph so I'll probably go back and take some better ones, he looks a bit rougher there than in real life. The whole team will be hitting ebay in the next week or so to raise funds for my upcoming 4 month expedition across Asia, but fear not, I will let you all know when they're up in due course ( ( )) So I've finally got around to getting these guys finished! It took longer than expected but I kept going back and touching up small details over the period of a few months, then did the team's troll and goblin combo and then thought it'd be a smart idea to add weathering over all the minis I thought I had finished ![]()
